Resume | Portfolio | Art & Design
I started working with web design in 2011, my senior year of college. It was one web course and I got a C, which is funny, now. But, it was enough to land me my first job designing emails. Over time I have become more interested in the UX side of web development. I truly enjoy the research and strategy involved in understanding user needs and connecting them to their goals. Below is a few samples of my web work.
The Legacy Project: Wireframes
Role:
UX Designer & Project Lead
Background:
The Legacy Project was a personal project of Harry Bookey’s, Owner and CEO of BH Equities. He wanted a digital library of his and his family’s legacy. This working repository would be shared and passed down within the family. Documents within the database would include: Photos, News Articles, Videos, Essays and other papers.
Project Plan:
To develop a prototype that would be marketed to other families of wealth and prestige with the desire to preserve their legacy for generations.
Mission:
Conceptualize and execute an application that intuitively organizes and displays digital assets by category and search criteria in a hierarchical and clean fashion.
Separates us from others:
The upload tool: It will prompt event titles based on metadata. For example: Once images are uploaded, metadata (Date, Time, Location and facial recognition software) will cluster the images by date, then tag them with the additional data. It will then prompt you to create an event name for that cluster. Another family member will then add photos of the same event on a different devise. The system will recognize the time frame, and based off the metadata, the user will be prompted with "Would you like to add (this cluster) to 'this' event?"
Another unique aspect is that user profiles of the family will have several details about them in their profiles, such as their birthday or anniversary. These recurring dates will be event names without even having to create them.
